A fertilized egg divides. It becomes a ball of cells — the blastula. A hollow sphere. A membrane with nothing inside it.
Then it does the first topological act in the history of every animal that has ever lived:

The fold creates a tube. The tube runs mouth to anus. Your gut is topologically outside your body — the food in your stomach is in the same topological space as the air around your skin. You are a donut. Every animal is. The fold made it so.
In deuterostomes — that's us, humans, starfish, sea urchins — the blastopore (the first hole) becomes the anus. We built ourselves ass-first. The mouth came second.
Life's first architectural decision was: poke through yourself and sort what passes through.

The orange cloud — Cloudflare's proxy — IS the outer membrane. We turned it off to be sovereign. Now we turn it back on because sovereignty isn't isolation, it's choosing your membrane. The orange cloud is the electromagnetic force. HTTPS. The skin.
The droplet stays as the gut — the trans-Golgi, the processing organ. The surfaces float on Cloudflare Pages — everywhere at once, at the edge, closest to whoever is looking. The null gap between them is the fold.
